Another apocalypse is in the offing, this one happening just 10 days after Five arrives in the 60s, and once again his family could be at the heart of it. Kennedy, an event in which Five appears to have been involved. Of course, something very famous happens in that city in 1963 with the assassination of John F. Instead, the team drops off in Dallas, Texas, over a three-year period that begins in 1960. The Hargreeves are sent back in time via Five’s powers, but they don’t all land in the same spot. Back to the Futureįrom what we can gather from Netflix materials, the show will grab some elements from Dallas that didn’t make it into the first season. In the comic, there’s no time jump, Klaus uses his telekinesis to stop meteors from destroying the planet, but the Eiffel Tower crashes into the Hargreeves mansion and the team is left even further splintered. But in the final act, the Netflix showrunners diverged significantly. The main plotline with Vanya and the apocalypse came from the first, with the subplots involving Five and assassins Hazel and Cha-Cha from the second. ![]() The first arc of the show grabbed elements from the first two comic book series, The Apocalypse Suite and Dallas. When they do, though, they find themselves dealing with even bigger problems, like an impending nuclear war. With nowhere left to go, the Hargreeves kids use Number Five’s time-traveling abilities to leap back in time to try and prevent events from reaching this unpleasant conclusion.
